Town View Inn

I’ve stayed here many times and expect I’ll keep coming back. The staff are friendly, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are nice. It’s a handy place to relax while travelling through, especially on the way to the gorilla parks. The views over Kabale Town are some of the best.

The staff are helpful with advice for continuing your trip around this wonderful country, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It’s affordable too, which helps if you’re saving for a gorilla permit. The hilltop setting gives you great views and keeps you away from much of the city noise, though the main street is less than a five-minute walk away. One thing to know: hot shower water is available twice a day.

A cool, pleasant place for a vacation on Makanga Hill. There are a few ways to get there: from between NSSF and Total Kabale, take the first left, up a somewhat steep slope. You can also use the road beside Skyline Hotel, beyond Equity Bank, then climb the steep hill. From town, go past Royal Supermarket toward Makanga, turn right at the first junction, then take the first right again.

It’s basic accommodation at an affordable price. There aren’t meals available apart from pork, but the hot water in the bathroom feels great after a cold night.
