The resort is in a good location, probably the best spot on the island, but that’s about it. The staff didn’t seem serious about customer service. There was only soap in the washroom, and they charged us when we asked for a dental kit or shampoo. Room service brought ice cream without spoons. The food took so long that we fell sick after eating it. The washroom door wouldn’t close and needs repair. This was all in a ROYAL SUITE. A few support staff were kind, but when management doesn’t take things seriously, service doesn’t improve.

We had a nice stay on Szese Island in April. One of the hotel staff took us on a lovely walk through the forest. The service was good, and the food was decent. Our room had a cool breeze from the lake, so we didn’t need AC, which suited us both. The toilet door was odd and jammed easily, and the electricity went out multiple times. The pool was small, but it did the job.

Such a beautiful place! Everything else was okay, but housekeeping needs to do a better job of preparing rooms for the next guests.

It’s in a beautiful location, but that was about the only good thing for us. Come with very low expectations and you might still enjoy it. The promised boat cruise never happened, and food usually arrived over an hour later than we were told. We were charged 4000ea for a bunch of water bottles we thought were free. The power went out frequently, and, as far as I know, there wasn’t a generator. They said they had one, but never switched it on during the long outages. I’m used to good African service, and this place just didn’t deliver.
