The rooms could use some attention. It’s still fairly close to town compared with many places.

The hotel looks old and a little scary to me 😳, but I was very surprised by how clean it was. My single, self-contained room cost 40 000/=; the furniture, walls and bathroom were old too, yet everything was really clean and smelled fresh 👍 I stayed one night and everything was okay, though I didn’t feel very safe. The location is good and close to the center, but it gets very noisy, with loud music and heavy traffic late into the night. Ask when they’ll bring breakfast, since nobody told me and someone knocked on my door with it at 7:15. It’s very basic: tea, orange syrup mixed with water, and bread with butter. One star by European standards ⭐️, two stars by Ugandan standards ⭐️⭐️.

The location is very accessible around Makerere Hill and Nakulabye Junction, and the place has a nice, ambient feel. Accommodation prices range from 30k - 100k, and the rooms are clean and very good. Customer service and care are great, room service is available, and the services are reliable. I had a nice night here.

I stayed there for a month, but after one bad interaction I left immediately and haven’t considered going back. I complained about the service and the very mature receptionist told me to leave if I wasn’t comfortable. Her attitude and behavior were as bad as the yellow hair spray she was, or rather is, always carrying. Staff need training.
