Mestil Hotel Residences

At Mestil Hotel's The Times Bar, the drinks were great, and Swaibu and Florence were fantastic, as they were on my previous visit two weeks ago. But Moses, one of the three bartenders and seemingly the oldest, was rude and unhelpful when my friend asked him to explain how two cocktails differed. My friend even thought about leaving, and I had to apologize on Moses's behalf. He should get proper orientation like the rest of the team so the service matches its usual high standard.

Loved the room so much, and the food was great. The spa and gym were great too, though the service was a bit slow. My only complaint is that there was no Netflix 🙈. I'd still go back over and over.

Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but the chef needs replacing. They couldn't manage basic mashed potatoes, and even a simple chicken burger was a failure. Chicken breast can be dry and chewy, but an experienced chef should know how to grill it properly. Uganda has plenty of brilliant chefs, so please find a better one.

The spa at the hotel impressed me, with excellent facilities and attentive service. Stella, my therapist, deserves special thanks. Her technique and the pressure she used were just right, and her steady attention to my comfort made the treatment relaxing and effective. Thank you, Stella!
