What stands out most to me about Nyumba 591 is its neighborhood, between low case Kampala and the cozy, quiet Mulago neighborhood. The atmosphere is amazing, with murals outside and striking interior decor that catches your eye. It's a 5 minutes walk from Acacia Mall and other important places where you can get almost anything you need. The caretakers are friendly and have always been extra helpful whenever I've asked for something. I've always enjoyed my stays at Nyumba 591.

The rooms are neat, the mattresses are comfy, the WiFi works, breakfast is offered, and there's an open kitchen. Staff are generous, and the prices are inexpensive. The place is approximately within 10 minutes of prominent Kampala spots like Mulago Hospital, Uganda Museum, Acacia Mall, and Makerere University, with Kampala CBD just 15 minutes away. It does get hot in the room, so I'd recommend installing a fan. The toilet is clean, but there's only one for everyone, so it can get busy, especially in the morning. A doorbell might help alert staff when someone's at the gate, since sometimes the security guy isn't around. I admiringly recommend this property.
The facilities were really nice, and it’s close to Acacia Mall. Getting to Nyumba was a little awkward, though. I understand it’s since been removed from the Peace Corps safe lodgings list, but I still think it’s a very nice place to stay in Kampala.
The staff member was so polite and welcoming, it felt like being at home. It’s quiet and cozy, with very cheap prices, and Acacia Mall is nearby with just about anything you might need. There are plenty of bodaboda right outside the gate to take you around Kampala. Really nice for backpackers, and I’ll definitely come back. Many thanks.
There are room choices across three buildings at Nyumba 591, set in a lovely compound on a hill. It’s peaceful and clean even though it’s in a lively, busy part of Kampala. The place has a boutique feel without being pretentious. I’d definitely recommend it.
