The beds are large and comfortable, the showers are warm, the Wi-Fi is great, and the staff are helpful. All rooms include bed and breakfast. I’ve often dropped in to ask about staying here when visiting Kampala, but during the Christmas holiday I missed out on three lodges and booked the only room left. I’d certainly book here again when I’m in Old Kampala.

It’s in a strategic business centre in the city, which is a suitable location. The rooms need renovation and more modern furniture. Some cupboards don’t work and take up a lot of space, and the service isn’t really up to the standard it was in past years.

Rats kept running into our room, and the toilet light bulb didn’t work. Even after we asked, they wouldn’t replace it for two days. The flush button jams every time, and the shower is broken, with water leaking before it can barely reach the shower head. Breakfast is included for only one person per room, so a couple has to pay another UgShs 10,000 for the second breakfast. Outside the hotel, we could both get breakfast for half that. Good luck.

The rooms are wow, and the staff are very friendly and hospitable to both foreign and local guests. The hotel in Kampala town is really good, though the restaurant feels more like a meeting hall. Please visit.

It’s a nice place with clean rooms, and the breakfast is not bad. The phone in my room wasn’t working, and there weren’t many TV channels.
