Getting there was easy, and I did enjoy the pool. The room and breakfast felt disappointing for what I paid, though, and the staff seemed pretty unmotivated. It’s probably foreign-owned. Just an okay stay.

We got a lovely fresh rye loaf from the very kind owners. The banda house was great value too, with hot water and room for more than ten people. The pool looked beautiful, and the restaurant food was great, especially the biksemad.

There were 17 of us at Banda Lodge for nine nights, and the staff, meals and accommodation were all wonderful. My daughter and I had a really great time, and the whole stay left us with lovely memories.

The swimming pool was a welcome way to cool down in the tropical heat, and the meals were great. I loved the ambiance here. If you're after Afro urban accommodation, I'd recommend this place.

I checked out the day after I hurt myself, and the staff still wanted to charge me for a full week. I was there with my toddler, and the gate was left wide open beside a main road, so there wasn't anywhere safe for a child to play. The place felt terrifying and completely unmanaged. Unless you're only going for a meal, avoid staying here for your own safety. On my first day, a man nearly drowned in the pool. I pulled him out, but the staff ignored what had happened. The following night I badly injured my head and it swelled up. There was nobody around except a security guard, who wouldn't call for help or even get ice. Other guests eventually woke up and helped, but by then my head was badly swollen and I had to go to hospital. I texted the owner and got no reply. If something goes wrong, it seems like no one will help. It was terrifying, and they were totally unprofessional. They literally don't care if their guests live or die.
