Vienna Golden Hotel

Just a building pretending to be a hotel, with awful rooms and no water or customer care. It doesn't even deserve one star.

The only concern I had was security. I didn't see any cameras or guards, though maybe they work at night or weren't wearing uniforms. Getting there gave me a bit of trouble at first, but I used Google Maps and found it successfully. Once there, it was quiet and comfortable, the meals were prepared nicely and on time, the staff were hospitable, and the bar was well equipped.

The rooms are basic but clean, the nightly rates are great, and the grounds are peaceful and nicely kept. The location is central, and reception and the other staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff, though, were awful: they wouldn't smile or serve us, just sat on their phones with bad attitudes. Breakfast was bad, like pig slop. I'd give it five stars if the food and restaurant service were sorted out.

We booked executive rooms, but there was no hot water or breakfast, and the room was full of bugs and insects. It wasn't a good stay. They need to improve the conditions and have competent staff. The receptionist just laughed at our problems instead of dealing with them.
