The staff were friendly and even arranged laundry for us at a fair price, which came in handy while we were travelling. Drinks are affordable too, with notably cheap beer. The rooms are welcoming and have the basics for a decent night's sleep, though a bit more care with dusting corners and freshening the linens would help. Country Inn is a practical, good-value place for a simple stop in Masindi. It isn't spotless or luxurious, but it works well for backpackers and road-trippers.

The rooms are tiny, even if they're meant for one person, and some have better furnishings than others. One mirror was positioned above the toilet. I understand the hotel is going for a local feel, but this felt like too much. I'd choose a better hotel next time. I don't recommend it.

The staff were a big help, finding us good guides for Murchison and the chimpanzee trek. The area is nice, and we enjoyed the pool and breakfast too.

The location was nice. I didn't try the food, and although the room I slept in was small, that wasn't really an issue. What did bother me was a group of guests arriving around 3:00am and making so much noise that most of us woke up. There should be rules to help guests respect one another.

The food was good, though the prices have gone up recently. Breakfast was just okay, much like at other places. The rooms were roomy and clean, with a huge bathroom. There's also a pretty large pool, but I didn't use it, so I don't know whether residents pay to use it.
