Saltek is a well-organized place to stay, with a cool, forested setting. Vervet monkeys hang out nearby, climbing and jumping through the trees in this human-made forest. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

We liked the location along a main feeder road, and the cottages have a lovely forest view and fresh air, just as the name suggests. The bed and washrooms were the parts of the room I appreciated. But the sitting room fridge was old and didn't work, so we wondered why it was there, maybe just for decoration. We'd expected to be able to cook for ourselves, but that wasn't possible. The photos showed utensils, yet there was no gas plate, leaving us wondering what they were for. Management, please sort these things out. The food was another letdown: tasteless, with huge fries. We paid for lunch on our first day and couldn't eat it. The chef needs to improve. We had to go elsewhere to find food for the rest of our stay, and breakfast was awful too. Even with all that, it's a nice place to stay.

The cottages are roomy and come with a little kitchen, and the place feels peaceful and very clean. Breakfast was good too. My one letdown was the DSTV package, which didn't include Supersport 3, so I'd give it 4/5.

There’s a pool and Wi-Fi, and meals are available at affordable prices. It’s a handy place to stop, with rooms where travelers coming from far away can rest. You’re welcome to settle in and feel at home, a home away from home.
