Just outside the Central Business district, the hotel is easy to reach. My stay was okay, and some parts of the property have a nice view of Wanale hill. The room was tidy and clean, but the net needed cleaning and the small holes where black ants breed needed sealing. Thatch Gardens is next door.

The people were nice, the service was great, and my room was fine. They had WiFi, hot water, and food available. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Mbale.

I had a quiet time at this lovely, simple place. From my room I could see Mt Elgon, and the view was so tempting that I ended up hiking there without having planned to. Meals weren't always available, which was the one disappointment, though self catering was an option. That was thoughtful.

The place was quiet and clean, and the service was good. The rooms could use a little touch-up, though.
