We booked through zenhotel, but there was nobody at reception. The phone number and email didn't work, so we'll have to find another hostel for tonight. Update: the hostel now refuses to refund us. We waited there for over an hour, called both numbers and neither worked, and got no reply to our email. Don't go there!

We stayed nearly a week in our own little house, with a room, bathroom, and private porch. It was a great place to stay, and the garden is lovely too.

The location is nice, but I wouldn't recommend this place. We booked online through booking in dollars, and they would only take local currency, using an extremely high exchange rate. They also wouldn't let us cancel the reservation. The owner was unpleasant, and the WiFi didn't work.

So peaceful all the way through, with no noise. A backpacker's ideal hideaway. Love it.

The calm, very clean place is just outside town, and getting into the centre is affordable even if you make several trips a day. A boda costs 1k UGX to town and up to 2k UGX coming back at night. Immaculate was so helpful and lovely, especially with her tips on the amazing nearby places. Thanks again, and do ask her where to go and what to see. I stayed a couple of nights and would definitely return if I'm back in Fort Portal. Great place for a few days, very much recommended!
