The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. The location worked well for us, with a toby carvery next door. The hotel itself was fine, but nothing spectacular, much like what you'd expect from a premier inn. The listing said EV charging points were available, and that was one reason we booked. There weren’t any, which left us very disappointed and meant we had to go elsewhere to charge the car. That was inconvenient because we’d expected to charge at the hotel, though charging elsewhere wasn’t a problem in itself. The staff were very good.

Most premier inns feel much the same, but the young woman on reception on Saturday evening, the 29th of Nov, really stood out. She was first class, very pleasant, and such a breath of fresh air. She even had a selection of Scottish confectionaries. Well done, she made our night.

There’s a big car park, and although the hotel doesn’t serve dinner, there’s a well-priced carvery and bar next door. The room was clean and comfortable, the full breakfast was fresh and beautifully cooked, and the staff were wonderful and helpful.

The location was just right for what we needed, and having the Toby carvery next door was perfect. The website listed electric vehicle charging under the facilities, but when we arrived, we found there were no chargers.

A pretty basic premiere inn, with few facilities, but clean and tidy. It’s a 10-minute taxi ride from the city centre. I could have used extra pillows, since there was one on the bed and one spare, and more than two teabags in the room. To be fair, there are spares on a stand at reception.
