Karen was a real asset, friendly and helpful throughout. She remembered the dietary requirements, happily arranged a second set of towels when there was only one in the room, and quickly replaced a faulty hairdryer. The evening waitress gave us a file about coeliac requirements, but it was hard to navigate and not specific enough, so we didn't feel confident ordering. I also slept less well than usual because the bedroom windows don't open and I prefer fresh air to air con. The meal deal upgrade charge caught us by surprise, and the menu didn't mention an extra £3 for the standard mixed grill. The location is quiet, just off the A1, and close enough to walk into Alnwick. Free parking, but you need to register at reception.

Karen deserves a big shout-out. One Saturday she was on her own, cleaning tables, serving food and welcoming customers, rushing around but still smiling. The staff were lovely and we had a brilliant stay at this Premier Inn. The room was clean, and the food was basic but okay and edible. I've never had a bad stay at Premier.

This was our second stay at the Premier Inn in Alnwick, and it was just as perfect as our last visit in January. The team were lovely and said hello throughout our three-night stay, especially Emma. We had no problems like some others have mentioned, though maybe my wife and I are easily pleased, or maybe we aren't rude like a lot of people we've seen in hotels. We'll keep using this Premier Inn when we travel to Scotland. The restaurant is lovely, with a new menu since last time and lovely food. Breakfast was just as nice, and there was plenty of parking. The only letdown was poor Wi-Fi, though the data signal was good.

A pretty standard Premier Inn and a good stay with no real issues. It's in a strange spot, and with hardly any lighting it was quite hard to find in the dark. It's beside a Jehovas Witness chapel and what looked like a travellers site, an odd location, but a nice stop on the way to Edinburgh. There was no one at reception, just automation, so I couldn't really rate the service.
