The Lyndale was a welcoming base, nicely located between the lake and town centre. There’s no car park on site, but you can park less than a minute away, and the ticket works in several other car parks around the lakes, which is a bonus given parking costs in the Lake District. Our room was nicely decorated and had everything we needed, and breakfast kept us going for most of the day. We’d be happy to stay here again.

A beautiful B&B with a friendly, welcoming host. My room was spotless and had everything I needed. Breakfast included cereals, fruit, yoghurt and a full English, with a vegetarian option too. I’d definitely stay again.

The room was clean and thoughtfully designed, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We got a warm welcome and plenty of useful information. Dogs are allowed, the location is great, the price was good, and parking was free with a permit. An easy five stars.

Alison made us feel very welcome. Her lovely house has comfortable rooms that stay warm on chilly days. The food was tasty, and the location was handy, about a five-minute walk into town but far enough from the bustle. Would highly recommend.

Lyndale Guest House is a hidden treasure, and we’ll definitely return. Alison gave us a lovely welcome, and Bonnie, our dog, was welcome at no extra cost, which feels rare these days. The room was spacious and very comfortable, especially the bed. Parking is about 100 yards away, and Alison provided a permit for free parking there. There are lots of pubs and restaurants close by, and a few offered us 10% off for staying here. Breakfast was delicious: we had the full English and helped ourselves to continental options while we waited.
