Arden House

We had a really good stay last weekend. The room was comfortable and reasonably priced, and it’s only a short walk over the bridge to the cafes and shops. Lucie kindly let us check in early and kept our bags for a few hours after checkout while we strolled around Arundel. We’d likely stay again when we’re in the area.

We’ve stayed in quite a few UK B&Bs that we thought were good, but this one is miles ahead. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the host was so friendly. It’s the little surprises that made the difference: a welcome note, a lolly on the bed towels, a bathrobe for after the shower, and slippers. Those are things you don’t really expect at a B&B. Thanks, Lucie, for such a pleasurable stay.

We were six staying at Arden House. It’s wonderfully quiet but right in the middle of Arundel, so the location is excellent. The rooms were very clean and had thoughtful extras like a dressing gown, biscuits, and water. Our room had an en suite and was a good size. My friends’ room was also a good size, but they had to share a rather small shower room. It wasn’t on the same floor as the toilet, unfortunately.

The host was super responsive, and the room was spacious, nicely appointed, and very reasonably priced. The location made everything easy, from an early morning swim at the Lido to restaurants and sights within walking distance. We’ll be back.
