Ellie made our birthday brunch feel special, and nothing was too much trouble for her. The food at the bottomless brunch was lovely, and the birthday pudding with a message was a great extra touch. I’ve been coming here since it opened, and she’s the most attentive waiter or waitress we’ve had. A real asset to the Foresters and Acorn. Great service makes all the difference.

Olena looked after us so well, friendly, attentive, and easy to chat with. The relaxed atmosphere and lovely food made for a really nice dinner, and everything came out quickly. I’d definitely come back.

We’re sometimes unsure how long we’ll be staying for work, but the staff make it easy to arrange extra nights when we need them. The front of house team will go the extra mile to sort things out. Tracy, the manager, was so friendly and handled every request, and Ellie in the restaurant made our breakfast mornings. They’re both excellent members of staff. I wish I knew more names to thank, but to all of you, thank you. The rooms are lovely for a couple’s getaway, and the other amenities are only 5-10 minutes away.

Ellie is so cheerful and attentive when she serves us in the morning. Every member of staff is warm and helpful, and the food is excellent, especially breakfast. It’s a small, friendly hotel and pub with clean, well-equipped rooms and thoughtful touches. My husband and I regularly stay here when visiting family. Thanks as always, and we look forward to coming back soon.
