For my partner's birthday (27/05/26), we stopped at the Exeter inn and had a really nice meal. He chose the burger and I had the Caesar salad, both were lovely. I hadn’t been back for a few years, and Billie, Tace & Elizabeth were all so friendly, from our arrival right through to our last drinks. We stayed a bit longer just to enjoy the peace and quiet. Thankyou for a great evening.

We tried a steak night and were really pleased. The steaks were delicious, the chips crisp, the beer great, and we got a friendly welcome. The food and service were much better than at the other places we sampled during our stay. Definitely recommend.

We’re local, so I can’t speak to the rooms, but the food was delicious and the portions generous. We booked at the last minute and got friendly, attentive service and a proper Sunday roast. We’ll be back.

We used the Inn as a meeting spot for family coming from two directions and dropped in for an early dinner. The food was lovely, and Michelle looked after us in a friendly, relaxed way. I’d definitely return.

We came in on Saturday 25 th April on a beautiful sunny day, just 25 minutes before food service ended. It was busy, and the chef was under pressure while dealing with a bad back. The woman behind the bar let us know there’d be a wait, which was fine. They got our food out as soon as they could, without any stress or fuss, and everyone was friendly. When it arrived, the food was beautifully cooked. We were on holiday, otherwise we’d definitely have returned.
