The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot once I’d rinsed it first, and the hairdryer was powerful. The rest of the room was awful. I had to move a chair blocking the door, and it was too big for the dressing table area. The toilet was filthy, with hairs on the floor and in the bath, grimy tiles, dirty skirting boards, juice stains on an unvacuumed carpet, and cobwebs in the corners. Paint was peeling, the toilet bin was rusty, the stairs were disgusting, and the entrance was dark and dirty. There was a strange mirror above the bed by the curtains, and this wasn’t the room shown in my booking. After I left to visit family and friends, someone had been in the room. The bedding looked questionable and the bed was badly made. The TV channels didn’t work, and I couldn’t see any staff in the morning. I wouldn’t return or recommend it. It needs a deep clean, and that mirror should go, with the chair moved elsewhere. Very disappointing.

I checked out after seeing the state of the room, since I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep there. It was gloomy, with a window onto the hallway instead of outside, and the carpet was filthy. The sheets looked as if they hadn’t been changed after the previous guests, and the pillows smelled of someone’s perfume. The soap dispenser was grubby too, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Absolutely shocking. Take your money elsewhere.

I never usually leave reviews, but this room was so dirty I had to say something. The sheets were stained and hadn’t been washed, and it felt like the room had been lived in for months without anything being cleaned. There weren’t even cups or mugs, a small thing next to everything else. I just want morning to come so I can leave.

I booked a room for a wedding weekend, and they gave it to someone else even though they openly said they could see my booking. It’s almost a month later and I still haven’t been refunded. They’re refusing, saying I must have stayed because the room was used. Appalling service.
