Banchory Lodge Hotel

The day felt effortless because the staff kept checking that everyone was comfortable and had what they needed. We recently got married at Banchory Lodge, and everything was handled with such care and professionalism. Not once did we feel stressed or panicked, the whole day ran seamlessly. Their attention to detail made it feel special. We couldn't have asked for a better experience or a more perfect day.

The menu and decor both show how much thought goes into every detail at Banchory Lodge. It's in a stunning location, with great food and consistently outstanding service. Every so often, a business just gets it right. Keep up the great work!

I've been visiting Banchory Lodge for nearly 10 years, but my last two visits have been extremely disappointing. On our dinner visit, we shared three starters between four of us: chicken liver patè, prawns, and baked cheese. All were pretty average. There were no steaks, with New Year's Day given as the reason. We ordered two steak pies and two burgers. The pie was really just stew with a square of pastry on top, and the burger was dry with far too much onion chutney. The three puddings we shared, two brownies and a sticky toffee, were pretty average too, and each came with only a teaspoon-sized scoop of ice cream. I also had to ask the manager twice for ice for my drink. For the prices here, the food unfortunately doesn't reflect the standard.

We were well looked after, and the food was fantastic at our family lunch at Banchory Lodge for my parents' golden wedding anniversary. Since my dad has trouble hearing, we were offered a private dining space, which was lovely. Highly recommend.
