We chose West Lodge Park again for our diamond anniversary after celebrating our golden wedding there. Layla, our party planner, guided us through everything and made the arrangements easy. Our 40 guests fit comfortably in The Lancaster Suite, and we had a private terrace for Champagne and canapés in the sunshine. The meal was lovely: a three-course dinner, with the starter and dessert served at the table and a generous buffet for the main course, with a good selection for everyone. Three cheerful waitresses and Ilya looked after us so well, and the hotel staff were efficient and professional throughout. Our guests had a great time too. It isn’t cheap, but the value and attention to detail are excellent. We’ll come back to West Lodge Park Hotel for whatever we celebrate next. Thank you to everyone there.

We spent three nights in a Garden Lodge room and attended a wedding at West Lodge Park Hotel. The room was immaculate and peaceful, and the grounds were beautifully kept, making a lovely setting for wedding photos. The restaurant and bar had a great atmosphere, a good drinks selection, and delicious food. Room service was prompt, fresh, and always brought with a smile. The staff made the stay feel special. Graeme and the whole team were warm and attentive, and went out of their way to make sure the wedding went smoothly and our stay was easy. We were very impressed and would happily recommend the hotel for a wedding, a weekend away, or a stay for the hospitality. We’ll be back.

The staff are a big part of what makes this hotel special. Sharon handled my questions and requests before booking quickly and professionally, and was so friendly. We’ve always felt welcome and well looked after here. We’ve visited for lunch and afternoon tea before, then stayed for an anniversary a few months ago. The package was great, with a beautiful, spacious room, Champagne and a lovely bouquet in the room, plus dinner and breakfast. The little details made the occasion feel special. We came back last week for a winter escape offer. Again, dinner was high quality, the staff were lovely, and breakfast didn’t disappoint. Our room looked out over the beautiful grounds. The surroundings are immaculately kept, and the hotel’s history and traditions add to its charm. It’s a hidden gem, whether you’re coming for a meal, a stay, or even just coffee, which comes with a cookie. I highly recommend it.

We stayed in a garden room at Cedar lodge with our toddler and dog. It was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had a lovely view of the arboretum. They’d provided a bed and treats for our dog. The room is a short walk from reception and the main building, with easy access to the arboretum’s trees and flowers. Our toddler and dog both loved having outdoor space right nearby to run and play. The hotel is dog friendly, with waste bins around the grounds and a seating area in the bar where dogs can join meals, including breakfast. The staff were outstanding: friendly, professional, and accommodating, even compared with top five-star hotels we’ve visited around the world. Special thanks to Lisa at reception and Steve in the restaurant for their warm, personal service. There’s lots of interesting hotel history to see in the information, photos, and paintings around the property, including stories of famous guests. It was a fantastic stay, and the location just inside the M25 made it easy to reach London and surrounding Hertfordshire.

The room was quite good for the price, and the location worked well for my NHS hospital meeting. The bathroom looked old, though it was clean, and the room was upstairs, with quite a few stairs and a very low doorway, perhaps five feet. I booked in the early evening and said I’d arrive between 10 and 11 pm, within check-in hours, after an urgent meeting request and a long drive. I waited a few minutes at reception, where there was no pager or bell, then called the hotel number. Someone came shortly after to answer the phone. The staff were pleasant.
