We had a birthday meal here with the family, and the food was delicious with excellent service. The place is thoughtfully decorated and furnished, and it works really well for a celebration or a meal out. There are private rooms to hire for different occasions, and they host weddings too. They also offer overnight parking for motorhomes and campervans. I'd definitely recommend it.

That burger was so good I went over to tell the chef. We also found the room lovely, and the jacuzzi bath was a nice surprise. Phil the GM was friendly from the moment we arrived, as were the rest of the staff. Honestly, the value for money was hard to believe. We'll definitely come back, next time with our daughter and the pooch. See you soon guys 🫡

The manager was a nice man and brought a good vibe to the restaurant and staff. We enjoyed the meal enough that I'd go again, especially with the prices being so reasonable. For five people, three courses, five pints and two soft drinks came to £189, and I'd rate the food around 4/5 across the board. The lamb shanks fell right off the bone, the steak and mushroom pie was delicious, the chicken burgers were nice, and the desserts were lovely. Service dragged a little at times, though after our walk we didn't mind chatting while we waited. We did have to ask for condiments with the seafood starter. Thousand Island, curried mayo or tartar sauce on the side would have made it a bit better. There were good points and a few things that could use more attention to detail.

The overnight stay and breakfast cost just £15 for the two of us, and breakfast had plenty of choice at the buffet. We came in our campervan after visiting the area and staying in the venue's recommended new camper area. On arrival we got a really warm welcome and were shown to our pitch. Dinner was excellent, with generous portions and top quality food. I had the mixed grill, while my other half chose the Mac & Cheese Burger, then we shared apple crumble and Profiteroles. The staff gave incredible service too. I feel bad that I've forgotten the chap's name, as he was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We'd absolutely stay again if we're nearby.

The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, and the food was amazing. We had a lovely stay here for my boyfriend's birthday, which was a surprise for him. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend the place and would stay again.
