They welcomed me and were more than accommodating about my late checkout. I'm a district nurse and couldn't risk losing my licence or livelihood after a night out at a nearby event. It meant a lot to find such caring, thoughtful people. The room was lovely and comfy. I'd definitely stay again. Thanks, Gill x

We booked room only, which suited us, and even on what was probably Barrow's peak weekend, the price hadn't been inflated like at other places. We stayed for Dave Day, and the owner kept our motorbikes safely in the locked yard at the back. We had two single rooms, both clean, with comfortable beds, a TV, sink, and facilities for making drinks. Four rooms on our floor shared two toilets and a shower room, which were clean and tidy. The owner was so helpful, even helping us get one bike started when its battery went flat. A lovely stay all round, and we'd definitely return. Thanks, Andy and Dave.

We had fresh tea and coffee brought to the room every day, and the city centre is only a five-minute walk away. The guesthouse was lovely and the rooms were very clean. Sharing the toilet and shower with other guests was never a problem. We'd be happy to stay again.
