The Swan

The staff were really friendly, and the owner responded quickly when one of our three rooms had a leak. There was a great choice of beer and food in the bar, though the soft drink was Pepsi rather than Coca-Cola. Our recently refurbished rooms were clean, tidy and lovely. My only gripe was that the shower was lukewarm. A very nice place to stay.

I've stayed here for both work and pleasure, and I can't recommend it enough. The food is delicious, proper home cooking with generous portions. The staff are so friendly, and the cleaners are on another level, everything is perfectly clean. I'll definitely come back to Beccles just to stay here, have a mixed grill and a pint of jubel.

We had lunch here and really enjoyed it. The portions are huge, so come hungry. The staff were very friendly, and whoever's in charge of the potatoes knows their stuff, both the chips and mash were outstanding.

There's ample parking, and you can get lunch, dinner or afternoon tea here. Breakfast is available in the pub for an extra cost. Our room had tea and coffee facilities, bottled water in a mini fridge and toiletries. It was quiet, comfortable, tastefully decorated and good value. The Swan Motel is also conveniently located, a short drive from both Norwich and Lowestoft.
