The Bedford Hotel Belfast

We had dinner one evening and thought it was quite good and reasonably priced. Breakfast had plenty of options, with buffet items to serve yourself and cooked food available to order. We stayed for a lovely weekend from 12-14 December, and the staff were cheerful and incredibly helpful. The room was spacious and well equipped, and everywhere was spotless. The central location is handy for shops, st George's market, and grand opera house. The main downside was the noise: late night revellers were shouting and singing, with car horns blaring. We were on the third floor, but the windows did little to block it out.

There was a great range on the DoubleTree lunchtime menu, so choosing was hard. The staff were friendly and knew the menu well, and the pint of Guinness was nice. Food and service were both great, and it was all quick. No complaints.

Reception staff were enthusiastic and friendly. The room was roomy and had a lovely modern bathroom. You can park for free on nearby streets around the hotel after 18:00, so I’d do that instead of paying around £18 per day at a nearby car park. Would recommend.

We stayed Friday 5th Dec until Sunday 8th, a group of five mature but fun loving ladies. The rooms were amazing, and we’d definitely return to this fab hotel. Breakfast was fab too. The young women hosting were lovely and smart, and the gentleman in a Christmas hat who served breakfast was cheerful and efficient. A special mention to the ladies at breakfast, sorry we didn’t get your names. We were five Geordie ladies and wished we could’ve spent more time with you, maybe in the restaurant in the evening. Your “craick” was like ours even at 9am!!!! The Loft staff were a bit stretched with only two of them, but stayed professional and pleasant despite being stressed. Our small criticism is that the reception area should be bigger and better designed.
