The train makes getting around easy for us now. We used to drive down from Lancaster, but the Driftwood Boutique Hotel is only about a five-minute walk from the station, with Hastings just a few minutes away by train. It’s also a lovely base for beach walks and exploring Bexhill’s independent shops. We discovered it by accident two years ago and have been coming back ever since. The couple running it are amazing, and each visit feels special. We always book directly with the driftwood boutique Hotel. The full English breakfast is delicious and caters for all needs. Our room is very comfortable, with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. The bed, pillows and quilt are just right, and the crisp white cotton bedding feels cosy in winter and cool in summer. It’s a perfect little boutique hotel, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again and again.

The owners were so welcoming, and breakfast was tasty. My room was warm, nicely decorated and had complimentary tea, coffee and water, with everything I needed. Great location in town. I’ll definitely return.

A review I should have written back in 2019. We were in town for a concert at the De la Warr pavilion and arrived before dinner service. The owners still put together a fantastic meal for us. Best place in town, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. As Lemmy would say, ‘Top Notch’.

I picked the driftwood for a work trip because it’s a ten-minute walk from the train station, and what a lucky find. The room was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owner is a great host who can’t do enough for you. I’ll absolutely return if I get the chance.

The breakfasts were delicious, and there were lovely products in the bathroom. I can’t say enough nice things about the driftwood. We stayed four nights in this lovely B&B, with a beautiful, comfortable room and such nice, welcoming owners.
