The garden was gorgeous, and the house itself has so much to look at, with art and books in all sorts of interesting rooms. We stayed for two nights and had a lovely time. Our bedroom was roomy and comfortable, with a modern bathroom and a nice view. It was very peaceful, and breakfast was really nice too. For dinner, we enjoyed The Bell, just a few minutes' walk away, and The Red Lion in nearby Steeple Aston.

We found the price quite high, especially since the house didn't quite meet our expectations. Our room wasn't as clean as we'd hoped, with a large spiderweb in the bathroom, and breakfast was only okay. It was a bit slow, and the coffee cups felt like canteen cups. The house does have a distinctive character and sits in a beautiful setting, with a big, pleasant garden. Our room was spacious, the bed was good, and we had a nice view of the church across the street.

Leo was attentive and professional while arranging our stay by email from the US. He answered everything thoroughly and made arrangements in case our flight was delayed, though luckily we arrived on schedule. The location felt like stepping into another time, on a quiet lane beside the cemetery where many of my family members are buried. There was lovely natural and architectural beauty within walking distance. My mother and I stayed in room #3, which was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished. The mix of old and new decor continues throughout Heyford House, and I could have spent days looking at the art and furnishings. Each morning, Leo made breakfast to order in a cozy room with a fire and nice conversation. I tried the full English, overnight oats, and homemade toast with jam. Everything was excellent and clearly made with fresh local ingredients. Coming back in the evening to the smell of bread baking for the next morning was heavenly. Heyford House is a gem of a bed and breakfast, and even just judging it on the bed and breakfast, it deserves five stars. It was an unforgettable stay, and I hope to come back soon.

Breakfast in the dining room was part of a really relaxing few days, and the rooms had a good selection of tea and bottled water. I booked two rooms for two nights and would happily return. Heyford House is lovely, with beautifully kept grounds. The rooms are bright, very large, and suit the style of the property; the bathrooms have been tastefully updated. For dinner nearby, I thoroughly recommend The Red Lion at Steeple Aston.

The countryside is beautiful, the breakfast is fabulous, and we always have a lovely room. My sister and I have been coming back to Heyford House every year for ten years, and we love it. The house and gardens are gorgeous, and Leo is always so friendly and welcoming. Just wonderful.
