The free self-serve breakfast is handy if you want to keep food costs down, and the bathrooms were clean and well equipped with a toilet, sink, hand dryer, soap, and shower. Staff were welcoming, and the hostel is within walking distance of markets, shopping centres, and the bus station, fairly close to the city centre. Our single room had a decent amount of space, somewhere to hang jackets and scarves, and room to move around. But the bed was basically foam and really uncomfortable, and the pillow was solid, so I didn’t sleep well. There’s no lift, though the stairs felt safe even with luggage. Definitely recommend.

The mattresses and bedding were the one real problem. The mattress felt like a piece of foam, almost like sleeping on wood, and was very uncomfortable. Apart from that, the rooms were clean, the facilities well looked after, the central location was handy, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Free breakfast was wonderful, with a good spread and fruit. I’d book again :)

The staff kept the hostel clean so well, and the teamwork and care were just adorable. Everywhere was spotless, with positive people and energy in every corner. It’s the best hostel I’ve been to. You could easily live there for a while if you needed to. ADORABLE, FASCINATING, AMAZING place! 5/5, 10/10 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

For £19, you get a bed for the night and a decent shower, so it’s hard to complain. Good hostel, clean throughout, with comfortable beds and tea and coffee you can help yourself to.

When I need a cheap place to crash in Birmingham, this is where I always stay. The staff are helpful, the beds are comfy, and there are free breakfast options, including vegan food. It’s in a good spot, close enough to the city centre and ideal for the o2 Institute. Travelling solo? It’s easy to meet people and play games in the lounge.
