Conference Aston Hotel - Birmingham City

Conference Aston is a great place to stay, right near Birmingham city centre. The rooms are small but cleverly designed with everything you need, and I really liked the eco-friendly approach. It’s a thoughtful, modern touch. Highly recommended!

I liked how easy it was to get around from Conference Aston Hotel. Most of the places I wanted to visit were within walking distance. Coming back in the evening to a glass of flavoured water, a cookie or a cupcake was a lovely little welcome. The room was cosy and well equipped, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The shower pressure was great too, whether I wanted a refreshing start or end to the day. Rooms suit different budgets, so it works for business or leisure. I had a pleasant, comfortable stay and would happily return.

The cooked breakfast was excellent, and the rooms are good value in a central location. They’re small, though, so I’d recommend this place for a night or two rather than a longer stay. Parking is a five-minute walk away. Use the What Three Words address in the email to find the entrance, since it comes off a dual carriageway and is easy to miss. It took me right to the door.

The staff were very attentive, and the room was clean. It was a work event booking, so I can’t say whether it was good value. But the room felt more like a large cupboard than a bedroom. The bed was on wheels and kept rolling away from the wall and headboard while I slept. The bathroom was the worst of it: so cramped that using it with the door shut made me feel boxed in, and the shower cubicle had a curtain instead of a door because there wasn’t space for one to open. I understand some rooms are larger, but mine was tiny.
