We stayed in October 2025 and loved this beautiful hotel and its stunning grounds. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They called before our stay, which was nice, and did their best to accommodate our requests. Our room was spacious with a lovely courtyard view. The bed was very comfortable, though the pillows were a little soft. The furniture, including the chair, desk, coffee table and wardrobe, is old, but it gives the place a traditional feel and character. The bathroom was very clean, though a little old and cold. Our room got quite cold in the evening, but staff were happy to put on the heating when we asked. There are no lifts, though that wasn’t a problem for us as we didn’t have big suitcases. We had an early start for a family event, so didn’t get to try breakfast or the spa. We’re looking forward to coming back for our own celebrations or anniversaries.

I was very impressed by the service at Newhall hotel when I held a private party for my mother’s 70th birthday on Sunday 18th January 2026. The staff were excellent from the planning right through to the event. Rebecca was so helpful and efficient, a real credit to the team. Pedro, Isabelle and Cameron were among the friendly, efficient staff who served us on the evening. The accommodation and food were exceptional too. I’d highly recommend Newhall Hotel for a private party.

We’ve stayed at the new hall several times and it’s always been amazing. We also had our wedding there, which was fantastic. The staff are consistently helpful and polite, and Summer deserves special thanks for organising the preparations and supporting us. Highly recommended!

The beautiful grounds and swimming pool were a real treat, and our spacious, comfortable rooms made the stay easy. We came as four families with the grandparents and three dogs for a late Christmas break, and it was absolutely perfect. What made it special, though, was how warm, attentive and friendly all the staff were. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We couldn’t have asked for more.

We had a really enjoyable stay and would happily return. The room was large and very clean, the spa was relaxing and well cared for, and the restaurant served lovely food. Everyone on staff was friendly and welcoming. I really liked the hotel, everything was just perfect.
