The Great Barr Hotel

The wedding food and drink went down so well, and all our guests were impressed. The organisation, venue and team were perfect for us. I honestly can't think of anything that could've made the day better, and I already know a few people hoping to hold future events there. We held our wedding at Great barr hotel on 30.10.25, and both of us want to say a massive thank you. The advice and correspondence since we booked in April were second to none. The team cared about making the day special in the way we wanted. Everyone put in long hours, and I hope the owners recognise how much their staff are worth. Thanks to reception, housekeeping, the bar and restaurant, maintenance, gardeners, kitchen, events, and anyone I've missed. My bridesmaids and I stayed the night before and were well looked after. Our room was spotless, the bathroom modern, and we had everything we needed. Thank you all!

The staff were really lovely and went out of their way to help at the wedding. The venue and decor were okay, and the food was average. Everything was nice and clean, though the baby changing area was a bit of a walk from the bar and function room.

We've been coming back for 16 years and are already looking forward to our next visit. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are clean and lovely, and the beds are amazing. Breakfast is a favourite too. The bar is especially snug and inviting, and the central location works really well for us.

We had a suite on our coach trip, with a kettle and plenty of tea and coffee, and the beds were soft and comfy. The only room issue was the heat. It was a heatwave, to be fair, and there was a fan waiting when we arrived. Everything was very clean, and the room had towels, shampoo, shower gel and body lotion. The woman greeting our coach was lovely and chatted nicely with my girls. We filled in a menu for dinner, which had a good selection. The meal was delicious and portions were generous, even for the kids. We were too full to finish pudding! The waiting staff were lovely apart from one gentleman, though you never know what someone else might be dealing with. We popped into the bar briefly too, where the staff were pleasant and chatty. Breakfast was a buffet with cooked food, cereal, toast, fruit, tea, coffee and juice. Thanks, guys. I'd stay again if I was in the area.
