The High Field Town House

Dinner and breakfast at the pub next door were delicious, and all the staff there were brilliant. The room was very nice, quiet and comfortable, with high ceilings and a spacious bathroom. Communication was great, and the stay at this boutique hotel was very good value. Thank you, highly recommended.

Breakfast was lovely, the room had plenty of space for our needs, and the staff were friendly and ready to help with anything. My partner and I are really grateful to Tash and the team, and we'd happily stay at the Highfield Town House again if we're in the area. We had a family event booked at the Highfield for New Years Eve, but had originally reserved a different hotel on the same road, Edgbaston house. When we got there, we learned they'd cancelled our booking without telling us. We were worried about finding somewhere else on New Years Eve at such short notice, but Tash got us into the Highfield Town House for two nights. The team were so accommodating: they gave us the room and breakfast for both mornings, and matched the price we'd expected to pay. Thank you!

A superb room, a hot shower and free parking. Getting in was easy with digital room entry. I skipped breakfast, but it's available next door. Give it a go!

The meal was okay, though a little overcooked, and the waitress could've smiled more. When the card machine wouldn't work, she fetched another one. Friends told us that machine had been faulty the day before too. The staff could use some customer service training before we'd think about coming back. In my opinion, there are plenty of other places where customer service is the focus. We'd booked a family meal for four people on Tuesday at 12.30 and arrived on time. Two staff members were sitting at a table by the bar on laptops while another hurried around serving drinks. After we stood waiting for a few minutes, he came over and showed us to our table. The two women at the bar were still on their laptops. Looking back, we should've interrupted one of them to say we were cancelling, then walked down the road to the Physician.
