The bar is nicely laid out and serves food, and the staff gave great service. It's got all the amenities you need, with comfortable accommodation at a very reasonable price. The train Station is only a 20-minute walk away, and the Coach Station is about 10 minutes away. I'd highly recommend this as a good-value stay in the city.

I've stayed for work twice, each time for five nights, and think the price is fair. The pub is very good and suits people who enjoy a bit of fun. For a holiday, especially with someone else, I'd pay 15-20% more to stay nearer the Bull Ring. If I came to B'ham for a holiday or recreation, I wouldn't venture away from the Bull Ring. To be fair, that's not a criticism of the Moseley Arms.

The beds were comfy, but the staff weren't very welcoming or friendly. There was a coffee stain on the bedside table and the bathroom could've been cleaner. The walls are paper-thin, so it was quite noisy. Breakfast was very basic: no tea bags, and we had to toast the cheapest-looking white loaf I've ever seen ourselves. There was a bottle of toilet cleaner on one of the tables. I wouldn't stay again, not even if I were paid.

A decent option if you're on a low budget, and there's free WiFi. Just know what you're booking: there's a club out front, so you can hear people singing almost every night. If you're a night owl who likes being out drinking beer, that may suit you, but it's not a good place if you want a proper sleep. The wooden floor is old, and you can hear people walking around.

I stayed on a Saturday, and it was a BIG mistake. The room was small but okay, except the music stayed loud into the early hours. If you pay for a room, you'd expect to sleep, but that wasn't happening. I'd avoid this place if sleeping matters to you.
