The sea view was lovely, and even though it was windy during our stay, we had no problems. The room warmed up quickly with its two radiators. I'd seen reviews saying not to book a sea view because of the wind, but that wasn't our experience. We booked the family room with our two kids, aged 13 and 1, and it was perfect and spacious enough for our little one to run around. It's rare to find that much room in a Blackpool hotel. It was clean, the beds were comfy, and we liked having two TVs, one by the double bed and one in the living area by the couch. The staff were really friendly. Thanks for a lovely stay, I'll definitely be back.

The flat at the back of the hotel was beautiful and private, and we were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. We booked it through Airbnb for a staycation and were comfortable for the night. In the morning there was a leak in the bathroom. The hotel staff were helpful and good spirited about it, and dealt with it quickly. They offered complimentary breakfast as an apology, though the leak wasn't their fault, and we enjoyed our stay anyway. The hotel itself was lovely and lively, and we enjoyed our morning stroll through the bar and lobby. We would stay again and recommend it to family travelling in the area, especially because the staff were kind and responsive and the back flat was reasonably priced.

The staff member who helped us in person was kind and apologetic, and we appreciated being allowed to check out later. I booked a family weekend through Booking.com for 24 and 25 January, with breakfast included. But when we went down on the morning of the 25th, we were told the kitchen was closed and there was no breakfast. We had to go into the city to find somewhere open. I emailed the General Manager using the address staff gave us, but still haven't had a reply. Later I sent another message through Booking.com to explain my dissatisfaction, and the response was extremely discourteous. They said the kitchen had been open and continental breakfast served, which isn't what happened. They also said I hadn't paid for the car park as compensation, but I paid the £10 parking fee on Saturday when we arrived. I was already unhappy about the breakfast, and was even more disappointed by how they handled my last message. It showed a serious lack of care and consideration. Guests should be treated with much more attention and respect.

We stayed at this nice hotel on the front at the north end of Blackpool, and the staff were very friendly. It was quiet at this time of year, but the heating was on and worked, so the room was hot. Last year the Premier Inn in Tunbridge Wells was freezing. I'd stay here again.

The team were the best part of our stay. The staff were really friendly, helpful and lovely to chat to, and they offered information we needed. We had a few problems, including a shower leak, but maintenance came up within 20 minutes and sorted it out. It was quiet, so that might have helped, but nothing felt like too much trouble and they were always smiling. Great team, a credit to the hotel. The hotel wasn't full, so we didn't wait much at the bar or meal times. There was free entertainment every evening in the bar. We stayed over October Half Term 2025, in a standard room with an adjoining room so the teenager had space of his own, which really helped. It was OK for the price, though a bit run down in places and in need of refurbishment. It has been under new ownership since April 2025, and hopefully they'll give it some care. We booked when it was under Blackpool Promotions. The new owners have changed how things work, but the website hadn't been updated with the new details such as breakfast times. Staff told us the times at check-in and had posters up too. Free guest WiFi had decent coverage and speed. Food was 3/5. There's a fixed £20 per person three-course menu, with 2-3 choices of starters, mains and desserts. There's a cheaper children's menu, and we were told we could ask for a slightly bigger portion for older kids who don't want the adult menu. Dinner should be booked before 3pm, usually at breakfast. Breakfast is a fixed Full English, one of each usual item plus a daily special such as fried tomato or black pudding. Extras cost more. Other options include beans on toast, sausage or bacon sandwiches, and cereals from the buffet area, with tea, coffee and fruit juice. Rooms were 2/5. They were a decent size with OK storage, but short on plugs for modern needs, so we had to juggle unplugging things to charge phones. The bedside lights didn't work, so it was either a plug-in lamp or the main lights. The lamp in the adjoining room didn't work either. The blinds were broken but still covered the windows. That might be annoying in summer with lighter mornings and evenings, though it was OK when we went. The beds were lumpy and firm, with old mattresses, but comfortable enough. At the end of October the room was really warm even though the heating didn't seem to be on. The floor squeaked a lot, and we could hear the room above moving around, so the other rooms may be similar. That's a feature of an old building. The bathroom was tatty but worked, and the shower was nice and hot with an adjustable head. The TV signal was poor, so bring something else to do just in case. Convenience was 3/5. The hotel is on the northern side of town, away from many busy areas, with tram stops a few minutes' walk in either direction. The main billboard lights on the promenade are also only a few minutes away, and the tower is less than 10 minutes by tram. There are nice local pubs for food if you don't want to eat at the hotel or fancy a change of scenery. It's about a 30 minute walk to the tower, a pleasant promenade walk if the weather's good. Most main attractions still need a fairly long walk, a drive or public transport. We also booked zoo tickets through the hotel at a discounted agent/promotions rate. They came with a 10% off voucher for food and shops at the zoo, a nice extra. Overall, for what it cost us, it was OK.
