Parking was free once I entered my car registration, and the location made it easy to get to the main roads and nearby attractions. There are pubs, restaurants, McDonald’s and a cinema within walking distance, plus a large Asda and petrol station close by. The hotel also has a bar, restaurant and room service, with good opening hours. The pool and gym hours are handy too. There’s a lot here for the price: a big pool, gym, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including freshly cooked options on request. My room was clean and comfortable, stayed at a good temperature, and had a window that opened. The bed was comfy, and there was both a bath and shower. Staff were really friendly and helpful, all local, and the place has a welcoming feel like people care about it. Only letdown was an old mould-like stain on the white bath towels. They probably needed replacing. Nothing else to complain about, and I’m already looking forward to another stay.

The bar, restaurant and breakfast area have had some nice updates, and we’re looking forward to another birthday trip. We’ve been coming here for years, and this was our first visit since it became a Holiday Inn. It was lovely to see familiar staff who still recognise us and chat with our daughter. Everyone was friendly and helpful as always. There was a bit of a wait for dinner because a wedding and a coach party were in, but the assistant manager came over, talked us through some options and checked we were all right during the evening. Before our next stay, we’ll be popping in for Breakfast with Mrs Claus. That’ll be our Christmas outing with our daughter and my parents, so we’re looking forward to it.

The pool and gym are a big plus, and they stay open for extended hours. There’s also a cinema just across the road, which makes it a handy spot for going out in the evening. I’m already a huge IHG fan, so I’m glad this new hotel has joined the chain. The local staff are great and seem to care about making your stay enjoyable. Food was very good too. The menu is small, but it’s well put together and the dishes were done really well.

Connor was a real asset at breakfast, such a lovely lad and went out of his way to help us. The cooked breakfast was gorgeous, though there wasn’t much choice of pastries or fruit. Our room was immaculate and decorated beautifully for Valentine’s. The Ed Sheeran Tribute and DJ were excellent.

Bobby and Sam were so friendly and helpful, with brilliant customer service. I stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn West Boldon and had never been before. When I come to see my family again, I’ll stay here again. Thank you so much from Marie West Bromwich 😁
