Hampton by Hilton Bournemouth

The hotel is near cafes, shops and the beach, though it sits at the top of a big hill, so keep that in mind. I’d recommend it for the price. I stayed one night solo for work in a twin room. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the bathroom and bed linen were spotless. The carpet had stains and could use an upgrade, but it wasn’t dirty. During a very cold spell, I found the room chilly even with the air turned up to its highest setting for some time. The shower was lovely and hot, though.

The breakfast buffet was included, generous and tasty, and there’s a parking deal. It’s in an excellent position, with friendly and helpful staff. I stayed in room 538 with a view on my second visit, but the overall quality had gone down. The room wasn’t impeccable, though it was still functional. It’s a fairly new building, with a small gym and some rooms that have sea views.

Breakfast the next morning was perfect, with a gluten free section for my brother. Huge thanks to the two lovely girls on reception and Connor, who looked after the evening bar. The hotel is beautifully clean and well appointed, and the staff couldn’t have been more pleasant or helpful. My brother and I took our elderly mum and dad to Bournemouth seaside for one last trip. They used to bring us there as children. Dad is end of life, wheelchair bound and needs constant care, so we knew the trip would be a huge challenge. The hotel team were amazing and did everything they could to make our stay easier. This is the kind of hotel others should aspire to. Thank you so much.

We love staying here, and I wouldn’t mark the hotel down at all. None of our niggles ruined anything, and it’s still a really nice, comfortable place. The staff are outstanding, lovely and friendly, and make you feel so welcome. The room was clean, although it had a slight odour. This was a return visit. Last year’s room was amazing, while this year’s wasn’t as good. The bed had clearly seen better days and could do with replacing.
