The family room was lovely and big, clean, and had fresh bedding, its own toilet and shower, and clean towels for all of us. We had a hospitality tray with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits too. It's a perfect location for everything and a wonderful price. We only wish we'd stayed longer and will definitely be back at South Dene. It was just a room booking, but there was a day room with seating where we could help ourselves to cereal, milk, tea, coffee, water and fruit. We arrived four hours before check-in, and they warmly welcomed us, let us leave our bags and park the car.

Although breakfast wasn't included, there was a selection of cereals, fresh milk, yogurts and fruit, plus drinks at no cost. A really kind and generous touch. Emma was attentive to our needs, and the room was very clean. It was a lovely budget-friendly stay in a fantastic location, about a 10-minute walk to the harbour and lovely beaches. We'll definitely visit again.

The host was fabulous, and the hotel was great value for the price. The room was fabulous too, with a comfortable bed. It's in a good location close to the spa. I definitely recommend staying here.

Emma was a wonderful host, and the little extras, especially the snacks, really added to our stay. The place was spotlessly clean and close to all amenities. Fantastic place to stay over spring bank. Can't fault it, and we'll be back in future.

We picked this lovely little spot for a night away, and the value for money is hard to beat given how close it is to the beach. The owner was really friendly and helpful, and the complimentary snacks were an unusual but wonderful touch. We stayed in the family room, with a lovely bay window that let in loads of light. The beds were okay. There seemed to be four parking spaces at the front, but they were full when we arrived. We parked on a street directly opposite and could still see the car from our room. We'd stay here again if we're in the area.
