The room was comfortable, especially the bed, and we had a lovely view of the sea from the front of the hotel. The road could be noisy, but they’d left earplugs, which was a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed our night at A Room With A View and would come back.

We ate breakfast elsewhere, though what we saw looked like a good spread. Room 1 was very small and right at pavement level, and the shower room could have been cleaner. The small queen bed was a squeeze for us, even though we’re both slim. Street noise was noticeable over our Friday and Saturday nights, so maybe weekdays are quieter. Next time, I’d ask for a larger room.

The staff were lovely, and breakfast was delicious, with really good produce. We had a small, cosy ground-floor room, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Great spot opposite the sea. We’ll be back in summer!

We had a few nights in the ground-floor accommodation, Room 1, and could see the iconic pier from the window. The rooms were clean and well equipped, with nice extras like complimentary water and biscuits, and breakfast was excellent. There’s on-site parking too. A great base for exploring Brighton, and we’d definitely recommend it.

The friendly staff and handy extras were a plus: free parking, a coffee machine with pods, and a little fridge. The location next to the pier is great, but the stay was disappointing. Noise came from upstairs, nearby rooms and the street, and it was so loud at night that it felt like sleeping outside. It made it hard to rest. The cleaning needs work too, one towel had a large hole, and the pillows were old, lumpy and very uncomfortable.
