The pool was enjoyable, and the facilities were good, though they felt very crowded, especially the sauna. The room and bathroom were a different story. On arrival, I found little body hairs in the shower, on the floor and around the sink. Housekeeping didn’t come until I asked at about 3pm, even though I’d seen the trolley in the corridor that morning and again shortly before noon. I made the bed and washed the cups we’d used myself. When I raised it at reception, the woman there didn’t apologise and told me room servicing was an extra service. That surprised me, since even many B&Bs include it, and this was a four-star hotel. For what we paid, the stay was disappointing and didn’t feel worth the money. I wouldn’t return; there are nicer, more attentive places available for the same price.

We slept so well, thanks to the really comfortable bed and pillows. The staff were helpful and knew their stuff, and the location worked perfectly for a fun weekend in Brighton. Honestly, I can’t fault the stay.

We were close to the station, shops and restaurants, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. They let us check in early and unexpectedly upgraded our room. The Sunday food was okay, though I thought the selection was a bit limited.

Getting there was easy, with the hotel right behind Brighton Railway Station. At check-in, the staff were sweet and friendly, and gave us complimentary vouchers for birthday drinks. The place felt secure too, since key cards are needed for both the rooms and the elevators. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I liked having sockets on both sides of the headboard above the small bedside tables. There was a good choice of TV channels for a lazy evening, and the bathroom had plenty of space, a powerful shower and soaps said to contain no harmful chemicals. The heating and air conditioning didn’t seem to do much, though we didn’t really need them. Everything was clean, and housekeeping replaced our towels, coffee and milk during the stay. The hotel and staff made for a brilliant birthday weekend.

Everything was close by, and the staff were lovely. Our room was really clean too. A great place to stay, I couldn’t fault it and would definitely recommend it.
