Maldron Hotel Brighton City Centre

The kids loved their big stacks of pancakes with syrup at breakfast. We’re vegan and hadn’t expected much, but this was the best hotel breakfast we’ve had, in the UK or abroad. There were beans, potatoes, croissants, pancakes, cereal, fruit and yoghurt, with sausages available on request. If we’d known, we’d have brought Biscoff or Nutella! We found a good Wowcher deal that included breakfast and a drink on arrival. I appreciated being able to upgrade to a family room and bring the kids for an extra charge. We were in Brighton for the half marathon and stayed three nights, making the most of local activities. The hotel was very clean, the staff were courteous and the lounge areas were nice. There was even a quiet area with books and activities for kids. It was quiet at night, so the kids slept well, and we got a good night’s sleep too, as good as you can in an unfamiliar hotel bed. The only drawback was the lack of a pool. We’d definitely come again if we visit Brighton.

The service is what really made the stay for me. Manager Andres handled a small request with real professionalism and grace, and his commitment to guest satisfaction made a big difference. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the comfort, style and attention to detail make it a hidden gem in Brighton. I’d choose it over other places here without a second thought.

The staff are what make this place. Everyone we met was friendly and ready to help, so this will be my first choice when I’m back in Brighton. It’s right in the city centre, and this was our second visit. This time we booked an Executive King Room, and the extra cost felt worthwhile. It was large, with an extremely comfortable bed and complimentary soft drinks and snacks. The bar drinks were reasonably priced for a hotel, and breakfast was among the better hotel breakfasts I’ve had, with plenty of hot and cold choices.

We got a surprise room upgrade for my wife’s birthday, which was a lovely start to a brilliant weekend at The Maldron in Brighton. The room was fresh, clean and nice, with a really comfortable bed and lots of pillows. Breakfast was included and the food was absolutely lovely. All the staff were polite and attentive, and seemed to enjoy their work. We can’t wait to book again.
