The price worked out better than the nearby Travelodge and Premier Inn on the same dates. We only needed a place to sleep while visiting family, and this was easy to reach from the motorway and not far into Bristol. We’ve stayed a couple of times in a standard double; both times the room was clean and comfortable, with a modern look that seemed recently updated. It had everything we needed as a base, so we’ll very likely be back.

For a work stay, it would probably do the job. The beds are fairly comfortable, the showers are decent, and it's easy to get the room temperature right. Some of the TV channels don't work, though, and the cleaning could be better. The food is awful, especially breakfast, although the pub next door has some lovely dishes. Staff are usually friendly and helpful, but there don't seem to be enough of them. Receptionists end up covering the bar and even housekeeping, which gets in the way of good service through no fault of theirs. Fine for a place to sleep, with plenty that could be improved.

If you need a cheap stop on the outskirts of Bristol or somewhere to break up a journey, this is a good choice. Parking is only £3.50 a day, which is less than many other places charge. The reviews here seem a bit harsh to me: my room was clean and had air conditioning, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I can't speak to the food, since I don't tend to eat dinner beside the motorway.

I booked at the last minute for one night on 1st December and found it good quality for the price. The room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed, a large shower, and a welcome iron and ironing board. Good windows and proper blackout curtains kept it quiet and dark. The staff were attentive and friendly, with a good sense of humour. A couple of small annoyances: parking costs £3.00, and Google Maps sent me to another hotel several miles away. I'd still recommend it.

The room was clean and the bed comfy, and we even got an upgrade for our anniversary, plus a free drink with dinner. The evening meal was really nice, with big portions, and breakfast had a good selection and tasted lovely. We got a warm welcome from the very friendly staff. Thank you to Julie and the chef.
