Clifton Village - Your Apartment

The room was clean and tidy, and the cooking equipment was spotless. I was travelling for work and picked this place because I’d finish late and wanted to cook dinner. It worked perfectly. Booking communication and self check-in were both great, and the welcome guide they sent after booking was useful for things like the heating and oven. I’ll recommend it to colleagues and stay here again.

We were a little cautious because of concerns in earlier reviews, but the apartment met our needs for a one night stop. It was spacious, clean, central and easy to access using the instructions. We also got building parking included in the price. A few small things could be improved: a rug, a welcome note and a box of tissues would have been nice. The soap dispenser needs attention, and the dusty fan clearly hadn’t been cleaned. Apart from that, it was a comfortable place and I’d recommend it for a Bristol stopover.

I wish I’d read the reviews first. They’d ‘forgotten’ to send the check-in details, so after I contacted them I had to wait around until they sent them. Once in the room, things got worse: a horrible smell, a bin bag right by the door, odd poo like stains on the wall, dirt on the floor, dirty dishes and a disgusting looking bed with stains on it. I’ll just call them weird stains in case children read this. They moved me to a basement room in another of their properties. I also wasn’t eligible for compensation because of a technicality. It was a horrible experience. Book at your own risk.

The apartment was in a great location, spotless, well equipped and had a comfortable bed. This is just about the one I stayed in, but a few things could be better. My wife would have liked a mirror by a socket for drying her hair, and the TV wasn’t placed well for watching. The light between the bedroom and bathroom comes on automatically, which isn’t ideal in the middle of the night. Parking is essential in Clifton, and you can only book it if you book directly.
