Leo, Alex and Libby made my visit really enjoyable, and I’m looking forward to coming back. In the evening I went to the bar for a beer, and Leo and Alex made me feel at home straight away. We had a great chat on a quiet evening, with cold beer and a lovely, good value meal. They’re fantastic ambassadors for the hotel. I arrived very early, so Libby at reception kindly let me leave my bag while I went around the city. The hotel is in a convenient spot. When I came back to check in, Libby was just as welcoming. My room was clean and warm, the bed and towels were fresh, and the hot shower was awesome.

Our black tie, red carpet event on the 28th of February 2026 was a success. Vernetta supported us throughout the planning, paid close attention to details, anticipated what we’d need and came up with creative ways to handle challenges. On the day, Leonardo was a great help. The menu he put together balanced elegance and flavour, and guests raved about the dishes. He and his team worked tirelessly to make sure every plate was right and served on time. Melinda at reception was also really good, communicated well and responded to all our needs. Thank you.

I’m only writing this after contacting the hotel directly twice and being completely ignored. On a work trip, I checked in and showered, then picked up a towel to dry my face. Just before using it, I noticed human faeces on it. I was moments from wiping it on my face. I was shocked and disgusted. This is a serious hygiene failure and a potential health risk, not a minor cleaning issue. Towels should be freshly cleaned, and finding this in my room was horrifying. I called reception and they brought replacement towels, but that was the extent of their concern. There was no proper apology, escalation or accountability. Simply swapping the towel was unacceptable. My employer paid for the stay, so I wasn’t asking for compensation. Basic professionalism and concern should be the minimum. I then emailed twice asking to speak with management and received no reply or acknowledgment. The rooms are dirty and poorly maintained, and clearly aren’t cleaned to an acceptable standard. Worse, there was no care once I reported the problem. Guest safety, hygiene and service don’t seem to be priorities here. I strongly advise staying elsewhere. No stay is worth risking something this revolting. Do not book this hotel under any circumstances.

The hotel itself was great: a lovely clean room, comfy beds, a great breakfast and attentive restaurant waiting staff. The spa was the letdown. Every jacuzzi was lukewarm, and one sauna barely warmed up because it wasn’t working properly. The spa receptionist wasn’t very welcoming and didn’t offer robes or towels, so we had to ask. We also booked a 25 minute massage but got barely 15 minutes of actual massage.
