Rock N Bowl Hostel

You can pick your own bed in the dorm, which was nice because I got a bottom bunk. The separate bathrooms were perfect, with your own toilet, sink, and shower. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great. The common room had a bit of a funky smell and seemed neglected, but I loved my stay regardless. The rooms were tidy too.

I found this hostel underrated. The staff I spoke with were all easygoing and helpful, and the common areas weren’t badly maintained, maybe the cleaning has improved. My 10-bed mixed dorm was comfortable. It’s in a prime location, about a 10 walk to the dock. Bring earplugs and a lock, though, since the music from downstairs was loud when I was there on Sat night.

There was a whole chorus of snoring last night, and the awful live music downstairs drowned it out. I actually thought it sounded like a satanic ritual slaughtering of a female feline singer. My dorm seems full of African and Indian fellows coming and going through the night to deliver food. They should call it the "just eat hostel".

I found the hostel a little underrated, though maybe low season helped. There were only 4 of us in the room, which made the stay more pleasant, and the beds were comfy in those huge rooms. The kitchen works fully, but the common area and kitchen could use a revamp. Staff were decent, and it’s in a central location. You get what you pay for. 4/5
