We all loved the food, which was hot and delicious. As dedicated foodies, we know what’s good, and this place deserves a prize. The carriage was a wonderful change from an ordinary restaurant, with cosy warmth, comfy seats and proper tables. The service was first class and had a welcome bit of humour. All four of us highly recommend it for a unique meal.

We’ve eaten here every time we’ve stayed, and the breakfasts are brilliant. The family room is lovely and comfortable, too. The landlord and landlady go out of their way to make us feel welcome. We’ve stayed at the old station a couple of times since the new management took over, and we plan to come more often as we travel up from plymouth to visit family in Paulton. We’d recommend the old station to everybody.

The railway carriage was a lovely place to enjoy a relaxed family meal, especially on a miserable rainy day, and the pub looked delightful too. We were well looked after with friendly service. The lamb shank and mixed grill were both cooked perfectly, and the desserts were delicious and just the right size to finish the meal. Excellent-quality food, worth every penny. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic Christmas meal with friends. Everyone was happy with the food, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was amazing. The location is really nice and the hospitality was wonderful. Joanna and Kurt, thank you for making it such an unforgettable evening. We’ll definitely be back.

The food was brilliant and the service incredible. I had fish and chips and am kicking myself for not taking a photo. It was a lovely evening catching up with a friend, and I can’t wait to return.
