John made a real effort for us, including letting us check out later and giving us things for Easter. The room had its own small lounge, separate from the rest of the house. With a generous breakfast included in the price and served on silver platters, we felt treated like royalty in the Victorian mansion. The price was another big plus, and John's dog, Quintin, was lovely too. Our only suggestions for improvement are the dust and the cigarette smoke smell. Still, we had a very pleasant stay in the heart of the New Forest.

The house was cosy and peaceful, and Quintin the dog was hard not to love. We shared a suite with friends for two nights while attending a Christmas party at the village hall. It had two bedrooms, one bathroom, a second toilet and a cosy lounge. John was a generous host and even drove us to the local pub. Breakfast came on silver platters in a grand dining room full of silverware. We did have to pay cash, which wasn't mentioned on the website or when booking, and there was a cigarette smoke smell. Those are minor points and wouldn't stop us from staying again.

We loved the dogs and found the house extremely comfortable, a lovely place to relax. The breakfast was excellent. Brian and John welcomed us warmly and provided such personal service during our three days there. Their recommendations made a real difference to my husband and me as we explored New Forest for the first time. We want to come back.

John and Brian made the four of us feel so welcome at Broadlands Gate, where we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with friends. Breakfast was amazing, and their dogs Quintin and Alice were fun. It's a wonderful place, and we'd definitely come back. All four of us recommend giving it a try.

We found plenty of walks that started right from the doorstep, and it was only a very short walk into Brokenhurst. The house itself is amazing, and the service was brilliant. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, from suggesting restaurants to lending us books about walks. Breakfast was fantastic, a full English served with fine silverware. A brilliant place for a relaxing holiday.
