For £90 a night, this was a lovely room: clean, a comfortable bed, and a TV with a strong signal that didn’t flicker like ones I’ve had in plenty of other hotels. The bathroom was fresh and neatly finished, with no discoloured sealant. When I asked for a fork at check-in, the man at reception kindly offered to bring one up. Great service. There’s a Lidl and a Tesco superstore with a petrol station directly opposite, and I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m next in Buckingham for work. I’d give it 4.5 stars. My only reason for not giving five is that my room had a bath with a shower over it, and I prefer a separate shower. Just personal preference.

Yathu made me feel genuinely welcome and helped me out on several occasions. I wouldn’t have managed without her, and she made sure everything went smoothly. She’s a real credit to the hotel, with outstanding service and a warm, friendly manner. The whole stay at Premier Inn was fantastic. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and it exceeded my expectations from the moment I was welcomed. Thank you.

The new on-site breakfast room has a comfortable feel, and the young team looking after it are enthusiastic. We were sorry when the adjacent Beefeater restaurant closed, but we’ve enjoyed having breakfast here. We stay at Premier Inn Buckingham regularly for its convenience, friendly staff, and home-from-home feel. It’s handy for HS2 workers, though the downside is all the mud they bring into the car park, entrance, and corridors. I feel for housekeeping, who have the thankless job of keeping it clean. The HS2 promoters should provide a compressed air boot cleaner in the car park, like the ones at golf clubs!

Farzana was so kind and helpful when we raised our concerns. The Premier Inn was clean and well organised, with coffee shops and places to eat nearby. We’d definitely come back.

Everything was fine until I paid for breakfast. The self-service food was cold: mushrooms, eggs and sausages. The coffee was hot, and the beans were crusty. They showed black pudding, but there wasn’t any. Absolute terrible breakfast, and it felt like a scam. Worst breakfast in Britain. I can forgive one item being off, but not all of them. Google greggs or a local cafe instead. Don’t eat here. It’s put me off Premier Inn. Lenny Henny hasn’t been here. Eat your pillow.
