We never actually stayed there, but the woman who owns or runs the place was an absolute saint. Two friends and I were stranded, facing a two-hour walk around mam tor in fog and pitch darkness. She kindly offered us a lift back to Edale and took us, though she really didn't have to. Thank you so, so much!

Every morning began with a lovely breakfast from Jan and Neil, who took such good care of us. We arrived to a cosy, warm cottage that was perfectly equipped and immaculately clean, right in the heart of the peaks. During our short break we went to Peak Cavern, hiked up Mam Tor and visited medieval Haddon Hall. A delightful getaway.

We had such a good holiday at rushop hall. (Pepper pot). The place was very clean, and we had breakfast each day. They were happy to help with anything. One of our best trips, and we'd have stayed longer if we could. Highly recommend rushop hall.

We stayed in Boots while visiting Peak Cavern and had a lovely time. It's such an idyllic spot, a real escape from the everyday, waking up to birds and sheep. The hosts made us feel very welcome and served the nicest breakfast. So glad we found this place. We'll definitely go again.

We tried the Pepper Pot this Easter and were blown away by the standard, especially the thoughtful details and how comfortable the little cottage was for our two nights. We'd stayed twice before in the rooms above the dining area, both relaxing, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Jan & Neil are brilliant hosts. They're welcoming while still giving you your own space, a balance we really love, and nothing is too much trouble, so just ask. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully cooked, with lovely extras like fresh fruit and yogurt. The remote, peaceful setting has stunning views and made for wonderful sleep, followed by beautiful views in the morning. Thank you for making this stay as delightful as it was 7 years ago. It's refreshing that the service is still held to such a high standard. We'll definitely be back next year. Hazel & Steve Milford
