We had an enjoyable evening here, thanks to the friendly owners and locals. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. It made a great overnight campervan stop for us, and we’ll be sure to stop again when we’re in the area.

Our car broke down on the way back from Peak District, and we were lucky to pull in here. The owner and locals welcomed us, and fortunately there was a spare room. It was really cosy, with great comfort food. Since the car needed another night to be fixed, we unexpectedly had to stay on, and they even gave us some dog food.

The beef Sunday roast was delicious when we visited on a Sunday evening. We finished with the banana and toffee sundae, which was a great dessert. Staff were very welcoming and the service was great. The locals were friendly too, especially Rob at the bar! 😉

We went for an evening meal, and the bar lady was lovely, friendly and gave great service. The pub had a warm feel, and the food was good, homemade-style cooking. It was in a handy spot, just 5 minutes from where we were staying.

We had a comfortable, cosy room at the Jug & Glass Inn and a lovely, filling cooked breakfast each morning. We stayed for a short weekend break while travelling from Scotland to South London. It’s conveniently placed for Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock. Recommended.
