The pork and apple ciabatta was delicious, served beautifully with a lively side salad and coleslaw. I popped in for a bite on my first visit today. Nice setting, friendly service and a really good pub menu. I'll definitely be back!

We've been staying nearby in our campervan and come in each evening to unwind by the fire. It's wonderfully calm, dogs are very welcome, and the few dishes we've tried have all been tasty and generous portions. The prices are good too.

The food was outstanding, both at lunch and dinner. We spent one night here at the end of a week in Paris, arriving in the afternoon. The room was lovely and service throughout was friendly and professional. I'd definitely recommend it.

Beautiful interior, a great pub with lovely meals, and a really handy location near Hartington, Buxton and Bakewell. Thor's cave is a 10 minute drive away. Very reasonable for such an excellent inn. Breakfast is included, the staff are lovely, and I'll definitely come back.

We asked for a quiet place where our dog could settle, and they were very welcoming and made it work. It's a lovely dog-friendly pub. We had dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was good value with lots of choice. Dinner was average pub food, but the chips were the best I've ever tasted!
